About Our Fragrances

A little background on our Fragrances.

Due to the complexity of mixing fragrances and ensuring they match the name, we purchase all of our fragrances pre-mixed.  This is why we do not offer special mixes. 

Due to this and purchasing volume, is the reason we will not just add a scent per a request.

Do we cut our oils? 

Let me give you some background on how Fragrance Oils work. 

3 Types

Fragrance Oils - These oils are blended synthetic aroma compounds or natural essential oils that are diluted with a carrier like propylene glycol, vegetable oil, or mineral oil.  Fragrance oils are diluted at very low levels – diluted at levels not skin safe.  This way we can dilute with lotion, spray or whatever product you order.

Perfume Oils – are diluted with a higher concentrations of propylene glycol, to make it safe for the skin and due to the fact propylene glycol has no scent.  Typically will see this in Roll-ons.

Body Oils – are diluted with a higher concentrations of natural plant or vegetable oils, to make it safe for the skin.  Remember that natural oils have a scent, so this may change the fragrance scent some.  Typically will see this in Roll-ons.

Most of my purchased oils are Fragrance oils, with a small percentage being Perfume Oils. 

When someone asks about cutting, that pertains to when someone is selling a body or perfume oil and then dilutes even more than necessary.  If a company is selling actual body oils, there is no need to cut more, unless they are trying to stretch the product and make more money.  We only cut if needed for skin safety.  

Note that fragrance oils are proprietary, so companies are not required to list ingredients.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is powerful. Consider how you feel when you smell freshly baked goods, the scent of coffee brewing in the morning, or maybe a scent that stirs up memories of the past. From these examples it is easy to see that aromatherapy really does affect our emotions. Scents to Relieve Anger : Chamomile, Jasmine, Patchouli, Rose and Ylang-ylang. Scents to Relieve Anxiety : Bergamot, Cedarwood, Cypress, Frankincense, Hyssop, Lavender, Marjoram, Myrrh, Neroli, Orange, Peach, Rose, Rose Geranium and Violet Leaf. Scents to Increase Confidence : Frankincense, Jasmine, Patchouli and Sandalwood.
